Sally Wolf

I was the first Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate of the Southern California Conservatory of Music, in Sun Valley, California.  As a composition major, I was privileged to work one on one with a teacher, whose curriculum delivered a thorough grounding in the traditional disciplines of music composition, coupled with immediate practical application to the "real world" of contemporary composition.  In collaboration with the Conservatory Director, I wrote thirteen children's operas, all of which have been performed many times by the SCCM's Young Musical Theatre in venues all over Los Angeles.

With lyricist Alicia Rowe, I have written a large collection of religious songs.  Many of these have been performed by church groups and choirs in the Los Angeles and Riverside areas.  One of these songs, "In The Beginning Was Love" was published by Oregon Catholic Press in their hymnal, "Young People's Glory and Praise", and recorded on Carey Landry's children's album, "Hi God 3".  This song is also published by Willow Publishing in "As One Voice", a hymnal used all over Australia.  Alicia and I also collaborated on a musical, "Paul" with television priest and author, Father Michael Manning, who wrote the book.  This musical was performed during 2009 ("The Year Of Paul") in five of the largest and most prestigious Catholic churches in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area.  One of these performances was recorded on DVD for use in churches across the United States.

With lyricist Margaret Ann Wetherald, I have composed a number of religious songs for children.  Our Song, "We Want To Live Like You, Jesus" and my song, "Closing Prayer" are included in Willow Publishing's hymnal, "As One Voice For Kids", distributed worldwide.

I live in Eugene, Oregon.  I am a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
